The Role:

We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced HR Administrator to join our Palletforce People Team in Burton on Trent. In this role you will be supporting all aspects of the transactional HR activities within the fast-paced HR environment, providing an effective and efficient service and be the first point of contact for our Managers and colleagues.

  • Act as first point of contact for advice and guidance to colleagues, stakeholders and external contacts with HR queries ; signposting onwards as appropriate.
  • Management of the HR inbox, responding to and, wherever possible, providing first contact resolutions within the agreed SLA’s.
  • Overall ownership and responsibility for associated HR processes, letter production and documentation covering the employee life cycle, including (but not limited to) starters, leaver, contract variations, probationary reviews and leave management.
  • Support with Recruitment activity, including posting job openings to career website and job boards, assisting with the
  • Onboarding process, including Right to Work checks, inductions and orientation
  • Maintaining and updating employee files, ensuring compliance with data protection regulations
  • Providing support to the HR Manage on ER case work
  • To play a key and active role within the UK HR Team, attending meetings and assisting as required.
  • There will be a requirement for you to be able to travel to our other sites on an ad hoc basis

What we need from you:

  • Qualifications. A Level 2 in English & Maths and a CIPD Level 3 – desirable not essential
  • Experience.  You will have previous experience of working within a HR administrator role, able to adapt to changing demands in a fast-paced environment, the ability to prioritise multiple tasks, have strong attention to detail and experience of working on HR system.  You will have strong IT skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. You will be a team player with a flexible attitude in order to respond at speed to changing priorities.  Working as part of this great team, together you will continuously evolve the services offered and enhance the employee journey with EV Cargo. Prior experience within a Transport or Logistics setting is desirable.
  • Communication. You will build strong relationships with our managers and enjoy speaking to people on the phone, face to face or via email.  Show us that you have the ability to engage and communicate with audiences made up of a diverse background across all areas of Palletforce and EV Cargo
