Key Responsibilities

What will be your key responsibilities?

  • Managing & driving commercial analysis to measure profitability and support new business case proposals
  • Provide analytically led recommendations to optimise pricing strategy and pricing tactics
  • Commercial Forecasting – establish sales and revenue forecasts for each market segment making recommendations
  • Undertaking BAU reporting responsibilities, such as pricing adjustments, inventory management, promotional activities, and output of KPI and forecasting reports
  • Deliver wider insightful commercial analysis as and when required by the leadership team
  • Supporting the sales effectiveness programme with key business reporting
  • Support the CCO in managing and maintaining monthly board reporting and KPIs
  • Produce compelling data-led solutions for our commercial team
  • Build strong alignment with colleagues across the Commercial department so that data is used in the right way, at the right times, and to full effect.
  • Identifying patterns, trends and present actionable insights to promote innovative solutions that deliver competitive advantage for data management
  • Breakdown complicated and diverse datasets into easy-to-digest dashboard
  • Quickly gain a broad range of knowledge across several areas of the business, and use this knowledge to build out “big picture” insights and recommendations
  • Maintain relationships with team members across the business,
  • Explore and analyse huge internal datasets, build your own data pipelines using our automation tools, and overlay third-party data sources to provide rounded insights
  • Determine appropriate approach to conducting analysis for projects (or investigative studies) and agree approach with stakeholders
  • Communicate and present data insights to senior stakeholders and clients, management and the wider team to ensure the most important metrics are highlighted and then provide recommendations on how we can improve
  • Creating appropriate documentation that allows stakeholders to understand the steps of the data analysis process and duplicate or replicate the analysis if necessary.

Essential Criteria

What we’re looking for:

  • You will have your GCSE Maths and English Level 4 (Grade C) and above
  • Degree educated
  • Experience with Tableau, Excel, SPSS, Alteryx or Snowflake
  • Proven experience in a similar role
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (including high level Excel skills)
  • Experience of working to time, cost, quality objectives.
  • Knowledge of business analysis lifecycles and methodologies
  • Strong influencing & negotiation skills with the ability to influence others through the results of data analysis and interpretation
  • Ability to operate effectively in a rapidly growing and dynamic changing environment.
  • Demonstrates a strong sense of commercial acumen through knowledge of industry best practice
  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate, present and influence all levels of the organisation, including executive and C-level.
  • Proven ability to develop, maintain and enhance relationships with a variety of internal and external networks
  • Excellent organisational skills, ability to prioritise and react to change quickly and positively and meet deadlines and attention to detail.
  • Ability to analyse complex scenarios and solve problems, formulate recommendations, and communicate them effectively to senior management
  • Ability to handle the competing requirements of different stakeholders and work collegiately
  • Managing internal and external customer expectations
  • Persistence and determination to see through projects which innovate and drive change
  • Good organisation/ coordination skills and the ability to multi-task and work under pressure
