Location:  Hybrid – This role is hybrid working with some requirement to be in our offices in Burton Upon Trent (DE14 2SY) and travel to our offices across EV Cargo.
Employment Type: Full Time
Salary:  Competitive – depending on experience plus car allowance and company bonus.

The Role:

Reporting to our Executive Vice President ‑ Information Technology you will manage cyber security technology to minimise the risks to EV Cargo from cyber security threats and ensure that our business continues to meet its compliance responsibilities within an ever-changing cyber security environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Hands-on involvement in projects to select, implement and support Cyber Security technologies across the EV Cargo group.
• Creation, implementation, and auditing of Cyber Security policies for the EV Cargo group of companies.
• Creation, implementation, and auditing of policies to support the IT requirements for data protection legislation such as the Data Protection Act 2018 and the General Data Protection Regulation.
• Implementation and management of Cyber Security related certifications and supporting policies, procedures, and auditing.
• Selection, implementation, and support of Cyber Security technologies.
• Maximise the protection of EV Cargo systems by considering all aspects of Cyber Security management including, but not limited to, patch management, anti-virus, anti-malware, anti-phishing, ransomware protection, endpoint protection, network security, application security, vulnerability scanning, vendor management, remote access security and network access control.
• Implementing regular testing of EV Cargo’s systems through techniques such as penetration testing and phishing simulations.
• Ensuring EV Cargo colleagues are aware of their role in supporting the defence of EV Cargo systems and data.
• Identification and reporting of Cyber Security risks along with options for mitigation.
• Maintaining a very close and collaborative working relationship with EV Cargo IT specialists to drive a security-focussed approach to systems management, implementation, monitoring and configuration.

Our Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• Qualifications. Educated to degree level.
• Experience.  You will be an experienced Cyber Security Manager with a technical background and a strong knowledge and understanding of security technology, best practices and challenges. You will develop and delivery cyber defence strategies and be experienced in implementing cyber security related standards and such as cyber essentials or ISO 27001 which is essential.
• Communication. You will have a passion for all things security and be able to engage and communicate effectively across all levels of the business and explain the threats and challenges involved.
• Influence & Persuasion.  You will stay up to date on emerging cyber security threats and vulnerabilities, and proactively recommend measures to mitigate them. You will show the ability to persuade and influence stakeholders of changes on approach and direct if needed.
• People & Self Development. You will have excellent communication, and project managements skills. You will have a strong work ethic, a determination to succeed and will be continually striving for excellence.
