Job Title: Field Support Engineer & Trainer
Business Unit: EV Cargo
Location: In this role there is a requirement to visit sites 3-4 days per week – the base for this role will be Burton Upon Trent (DE14 2SY)
Employment Type: Full Time
Salary: Up to £29,000 dependant on experience, plus a car allowance of £4,000 per annum

Description of Role

In this role you will train users in the use of new and existing applications on our internal alliance system and visit depot and customer sites to deploy and maintain IT systems, whilst correcting issues within our software and hardware installations.

  • Designing and executing training courses to ensure users are expert in the use of our systems
  • Hosting and organising training courses for depot, customer and Hub users
  • Visiting depot and customer sites to assist with technical issues
  • Implementing new integrations and functionality at depot and customer sites
  • Assisting the IT helpdesk function to provide telephone support for users
  • Ensuring onsite work is planned in advance and formal sign off is obtained once work is complete
  • Understanding the needs of the internal or external customer and keep them in mind when taking or making decisions
  • To carry out all your duties and responsibilities with reasonable care for your own health and safety and that of others who may be affected by your acts or omissions at work.

What are we looking for?

  • GCSES in Maths and English Level 4 (Grade C) and above
  • Experience of UK travel to offer in person or remote training
  • The ability to effectively communicate, facilitate, present and train
  • Have a comprehensive understanding of how to deliver engaging training and support material
  • The great ability of logical and analytical thinking and structured way of working
  • Ability to dig into subjects to find out the root cause of issues
  • Strong troubleshooting skills
  • Build good working relationships with work colleagues and our customers
  • Proven ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Proven ability to prioritise workloads and meet tight deadlines
