Description of Role

We are recruiting for a Senior National Accounts Manager within our Commercial Team
You will manage strategic planning and physical execution of client strategy through effective resource management and timely reporting. You will work with large-scale well-known customer brands and multiple carriers across the UK.

Key Responsibilities

  • To proactively develop and manage objectives at strategic and operational levels to deliver value to the client whilst keeping the client fully updated on progress and value delivered.
  • Review daily plans, performance and improvements across the EV Cargo network.
  • To interact with client at operational and commercial level to ensure mutual value targets are achieved with customer visits an essential part of the role.
  • To manage and support a dedicated team of colleagues to ensure objectives met and opportunities identified.
  • To interact at factory, warehouse and client functional level to achieve service and cost targets.
  • To be responsible for haulier relationship management and productivity in order that client objectives are satisfied.
  • To prepare content and present results and proposals at review meetings to operational, management and Board level contacts within client organisation.

What we’re looking for:

  • Degree or equivalent
  • Proven logistic experience ideally in an FMCG (fast moving consumer goods) environment is essential
  • Must have experience of managing commercial engagement with large customers
  • Have Senior National Account Manager experience
  • Proven experience in building, managing and motivating a diverse team
  • A proven record of delivering outstanding business results and exceeding targets
  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills
  • Strong communication and persuasive skills are essential for this role
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly word, excel and Windows 10
  • Flexible approach to working practices
