Description of Role

In this role you will help implement the cross-business unit approach to selling. You will assist the EV Cargo UK Sales Director in unlocking additional share of wallet for existing EV Cargo customers and generating new opportunities across business units.

This will be achieved through proactive, successful pipeline management, solution design, process development and leadership of business opportunities for strategic UK, EV Cargo wide accounts.

You will support revenue growth in our existing customers, new sales opportunities, and tenders as an SME on our combined products.

What will you be doing?

  • Support EV Cargo UK Sales Director in exceeding annual sales targets across all EV Cargo products; through cross-business selling
  • Assist with planning and executing strategic plans to achieve sales targets and expand customer base
  • Help design, develop, and maintain ‘One EV Cargo’ customer solution approach
  • Contribute to the cross-business pipeline; existing and new sales to a minimum value of £10 million GP per annum with a minimum of 25% conversion rate
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships
  • Effectively communicate the value proposition through proposals and presentations
  • Understand the competitive landscape and market trends
  • Support with sales objectives by forecasting and developing annual sales quotas, projecting expected sales volume and profit for existing and new products
  • Maintain sales volume, product mix and selling price by keeping current with supply and demand, changing trends, economic indicators, and competitors
  • Manage assigned strategic account growth, pro-actively delivering revenue growth and customer satisfaction
  • Establish excellent working relationships with key stakeholders within the EV Cargo team
  • Assist with creating and maintaining cross divisional key account plans that deliver growth and increased customer satisfaction
  • Support pre-sales activity in terms of delivering initial demos, presentations, and other materials
  • Assist customer with business case formulation, put together ‘Deal Reviews’ for internal sign off, negotiate pricing & terms with the customer
  • Deliver above budget performance on all revenue and profitability targets for assigned customers through proactive management of costs and additional business opportunities
  • Seek continuous improvement opportunities through process enhancement, documentation, and post-implementation review processes

What are we looking for?

  • Level 2 English and Maths or equivalent and preferably educated to degree level
  • Experience in performance of functions is essential
  • Proven sales executive experience, meeting, or exceeding targets
  • Have experience of developing winning proposals in a variety of formats and create customised, profitable pricing structures in response to the customer’s requirements
  • Strong influencing & negotiation skills with the ability to influence others through the results of data analysis and interpretation
  • Ability to operate effectively in a rapidly growing and dynamic changing environment
  • Demonstrates a strong sense of commercial acumen through knowledge of industry best practice
  • Proven ability to articulate the distinct aspects of products and services
  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills
  • A “can-do,” proactive and problem-solving attitude
  • Proven ability to develop, maintain and enhance relationships with a variety of internal and external networks
  • Proven IT Skills – Proficient in PowerPoint & Excel
  • A proven disciplined self-starter with the ability to work autonomously and/or remotely
  • Excellent organisational skills, ability to prioritise and react to change quickly and positively and meet deadlines
  • The ability to work autonomously and remotely and have a flexible approach to working practices
  • Full UK driving licence
