People

From employee welfare, diversity and inclusivity through to training and development and health and safety – EV Cargo cares.

Defining targets and implementing measures to limit the environmental impact of our and our customers’ supply chain operations.

EV Cargo contributes to social and economic development in the societies and communities we operate in, as well as doing our part on climate action and conducting responsible business activities.

Our Strategy

At EV Cargo we’re working hard to support and contribute to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals to ensure best practice in all operations and encourage our suppliers to prioritise sustainability goals for a greener future.

We are focused on becoming carbon neutral (scope 1 and scope 2) by 2030 and significantly reducing our scope 3 emissions. To help achieve those targets and decarbonise logistics in the road transport sector, we made a commitment at COP26 to having 30% of new zero-emission mid- and heavy-duty vehicles by 2030 and 100% by 2040.

Do you have females in senior positions?

Yes, 27% of our executive board are female.

Do you have a decarbonization timeline?

Our target is to be Scope 1 and 2 carbon neutral by 2030, and to be Scope 3 net zero by 2050, in accordance with the Science Base Target’s initiative.

How do you ensure you trade ethically with your partners?

Our target is to ensure that 70% or more of our procurement is spent with suppliers with a verified ESG policy.

Our Progress

Over the last 12 months we have joined the artic pledge, a voluntary pledge which invites companies to avoid intentionally routing ships through the region. We have introduced electric vehicles, upgraded our fleet to Euro 6 standards, introduced a single use plastic policy and obtained ISO 14001 certification across all EV Cargo sites.

Additionally we have launched a Women Forward Lean In Circle, an Aspirational to Inspirational Leadership Programme for Female Leaders and introduced even more female leaders into management positions.
