Global supply chain management and logistics provider EV Cargo is enabling long-term customer Budweiser Brewing Group to introduce a new sustainable transport initiative to cut vehicle emissions by over 90%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A champion of sustainable logistics, EV Cargo has seized the initiative to introduce a range of innovative solutions across its customer base to help reduce the environmental impact of distribution operations and is leading the introduction of hydrotreated vegetable oil (HVO) as a direct replacement to traditional diesel fuel at Budweiser Brewing Group UK&I, part of AB InBev.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
HVO is a sustainable fuel derived from vegetable and animal oils and an initial fleet of 20-25 distribution trucks at Budweiser Brewing Group\u2019s Magor brewery in Wales will switch to the replacement fuel, delivering an immediate 92% reduction in CO2 emissions. The number of trucks using HVO will double later in the year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The scheme will form a key driver in reducing the brewer\u2019s carbon footprint and in its ambition to reach net zero at UK breweries by 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
