EV Cargo, a global logistics execution and supply chain services platform, has received two significant safety awards for its commitment to workplace safety during 2022.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It won a Merit in the International Safety Awards from the British Safety Council for protecting employees from the risk of injury and ill health at work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It was also awarded a RoSPA Silver Award, while its express distribution network Palletforce collected an unprecedented 14th consecutive RoSPA Gold Award and fourth President\u2019s Award for maintaining the highest possible safety standards in the logistics sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Over the last 12 months EV Cargo has launched a series of initiatives aimed at promoting and maintaining health and safety among its employees, underpinned by a refreshed safety, health, environment and quality (SHEQ) strategy which has seen regular safety conferences, meetings and tours for staff and management.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
These have also included presentations to ensure that all EV Cargo employees understand their responsibilities to themselves, their colleagues, and the business as a whole when it comes to SHEQ.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
At depot level 2022 has also seen the introduction of initiatives designed to prevent accidents and improve reporting, while improving general wellbeing among staff. Driver CPC training, covering topics including accident prevention, driver compliance, safe loading and manual handling, are standard at EV Cargo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Meanwhile Palletforce\u2019s latest achievement is a result of its ongoing implementation of the latest health and safety procedures, allied with investment in welfare facilities and close collaboration with its 120 member transport businesses to drive the highest levels of safety for employees and visiting member drivers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
