A culture of genuine care and communication must be at the heart of any successful safety strategy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Key themes Andrew highlighted included:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The importance of supporting driver mental health<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ensuring driver roadworthiness, beyond the vehicle checks<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Encouraging open conversations, not just asking \u201cHow are you?\u201d but truly asking, \u201cHow are you really?\u201d<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>These small but sincere actions can make the difference between silence and a conversation that could prevent an incident before it happens.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Andrew commented \u201cDriver safety doesn\u2019t start with the vehicle, it starts with the individual. We need to build a culture where drivers feel seen, supported and empowered to speak openly about their wellbeing.
