EV Cargo company Palletforce has provided its members with another market advantage as the first pallet network to offer a next day service to the Isle of Wight, as Steve Porter Transport becomes the 13th<\/sup> new member to join the expanding network this year.<\/p>\n

Averaging over one new member every month during 2019, the addition of the Hampshire-based operator to its growing network has reinforced Palletforce\u2019s coverage in the south of England.<\/p>\n

Steve Porter Transport provides express transport services<\/a> to businesses in central southern England and the Isle of Wight from depots in Southampton, Portsmouth and the Isle of Wight. It will cover selected PO postcodes, the Isle of Wight and the Channel Islands for the Palletforce network.<\/p>\n

The company is also the Isle of Wight\u2019s largest independent freight carrier, having acquired ferry operator Red Funnel\u2019s distribution division in 2011. It offers a bespoke cross-Solent drop-trailer operation from Southampton to East Cowes, ensuring customers are given priority in terms of service and providing Palletforce members with a competitive advantage.<\/p>\n

Steve Porter Transport has more than 70 full-time staff and operates a fleet of 40 vehicles and 80 trailers. In August this year it became part of fellow Palletforce member Knights of Old\u2019s portfolio.<\/p>\n
