International express distribution specialist Palletforce<\/a> has received a prestigious award in recognition of its unrivalled commitment to health and safety in the workplace. Palletforce has invested in a number of measures, including the latest technology, to ensure its SuperHub offers the highest levels of safety to both its staff and visiting member transport\u00a0companies.<\/p>\n

The President\u2019s Award is presented to organisations who have achieved 10 consecutive Gold Medals in the internationally-renowned\u00a0RoSPA<\/a>\u00a0Health and Safety Awards, the longest-running industry awards scheme in the\u00a0UK.<\/p>\n

Palletforce\u2019s achievement \u2013 unprecedented in the UK pallet distribution sector \u2013 is a result of the company\u2019s ongoing implementation of the latest safety procedures, allied with investment in ground-breaking\u00a0technology.<\/p>\n

This includes bespoke forklift scanning and weighing software at Palletforce\u2019s SuperHub distribution centre in Burton upon\u00a0Trent.<\/p>\n

As well as instantly weighing and tracking every pallet, the system advises forklift drivers the optimal way to load each trailer based on individual pallet weights. The accurate weighing also boosts driver safety when delivering using\u00a0tail-lifts.<\/p>\n

Palletforce chief executive Michael Conroy said: \u201cEnsuring the highest health and safety protocol at work remains our number one priority. To win the President\u2019s Award is a huge honour, and testament to our commitment to be the best and a tremendous achievement for everyone at\u00a0Palletforce.\u201d<\/p>\n

The RoSPA Awards scheme, which receives entries from organisations around the world, recognises achievement in health and safety management systems, including practices such as leadership and workforce\u00a0involvement.<\/p>\n

Competitive awards go to the best entries in 24 industry sectors including construction, healthcare<\/a>, transport and logistics, engineering, manufacturing and\u00a0education.<\/p>\n

Julia Small, RoSPA\u2019s head of qualifications, awards and events, said: \u201cThe RoSPA Awards are the most prestigious in the world of occupational health and safety, and held in high regard around the world, as winning one demonstrates an organisation\u2019s commitment to maintaining an excellent health and safety record.
