EV Cargo company Palletforce is playing a key role in the UK-wide distribution of food and grocery items donated to foodbanks as part of a mammoth collaboration with Sainsbury\u2019s, British Gas, FareShare, the Trussell Trust, The Entertainer and XPO Logistics.<\/p>\n

The unprecedented partnership is set\u00a0to help support people struggling in light of the coronavirus outbreak and will ensure the Trussell\u00a0Trust and\u00a0FareShare\u00a0can continue to\u00a0help families struggling to make ends meet and assist those communities who rely on foodbanks.<\/p>\n

Using its premier nationwide network of members, Palletforce is collecting ambient food products from six key distribution centres across England, Scotland and Wales and delivering to a national warehouse. Products are sorted and transported to the Palletforce SuperHub where they are distributed to 20 different member depots.<\/p>\n

British Gas drivers then undertake the final stages of the huge supply chain, delivering to community foodbanks supported by the FareShare and Trussell Trust charities.<\/p>\n

Unique Partnership<\/strong><\/h3>\n

FareShare and the Trussell Trust will use the donation to help relieve food poverty by managing the redistribution of food to over 11,000 frontline charities and community groups across the UK.<\/p>\n

Michael Conroy, Palletforce chief executive, said: \u201cPalletforce has helped deliver surplus food for FareShare for a number of years now and we\u2019re privileged to play our part in this incredible initiative. Our members are out there ensuring supply chains keep moving, guaranteeing food and other essential supplies make their way to retailers. We\u2019re pleased that they can assist in distributing critical supplies to foodbanks supported by FareShare and the Trussell Trust.\u201d<\/p>\n
