Charity champs from EV Cargo Solutions braved wintry conditions and unforgiving terrain to raise £600 for Cancer Research.

The five-strong team set off in January to climb Snowdon, which at 3,555ft is Britain’s second-highest mountain.

Leader Oliver Pepper, a transport planner at EV Cargo Solutions, says: “Cancer is something which has affected all of us in the team, so we wanted to do our bit to help find a cure for the disease.

“It was the first time I’d led such an excursion, and at that time of year it was vital to plan every detail to ensure we made it safely to the summit and back. The weather and terrain were extremely challenging, but everyone pulled together and it was a tremendous effort.”
