On the 11th of April, 40 Business Development and Customer Service colleagues from across the ACS UK network met at the truly impressive Palletforce hub at Burton on Trent for the annual ACS Growth Conference.

Clyde Buntrock, our new CEO, began the session with a 2018 business update – confirming that 2018 was a very successful year for ACS against some extremely challenging market conditions and that 2019 presented a challenge, but that we had started the year well and the early signs were promising.  Clyde also discussed EV Cargo, our 2021 goals and our updated ACS leadership team.   We then examined the freight divisions; sea, air and road.  We reflected on past challenges and considered the vision for each for the year ahead and beyond; debating how we would reach our goals, in particular our renewed focus on SMEs, and the tools and attitudes needed to achieve them.

Our Network Director, Christian Webber gave the group an update on the latest developments in our Overseas Partner Network, which continues to expand successfully, and the plans for future improvement.

Sitting in our sister company Palletforce’s SuperHub we were delighted to watch presentations from our new EV Cargo colleagues at: PalletforceJigsawCM DowntonNFT and Adjuno.  We are looking forward to working more closely with them in the future.

We’d like to thank Palletforce for hosting us so efficiently.
