Far East Cargo Line’s European members gathered at the Sheraton Hotel, Zaventum, near Brussels on the 28th March to hold our second EU conference, following the successful conference in London last October.

Members attended from Austria, Baltic States, Belgium, Bulgaria, (Romania, Hungary), Denmark, (Finland, Norway), France, Germany, Greece, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Russia, Sweden, Switzerland and the UK.  A representative from Cargo Services Hong Kong again guested at the event.

The day was opened by Nick Toye who welcomed all members.  This was followed by a presentation from Keith Traylor covering FECL closing statistics for 2018.  Presentations were also given by Patrick Yeo of Cargo Services (Freight Forwarding Solution) and Clyde Buntrock of Allport Cargo Services UK.

Among the topics debated during the afternoon were freight procurement and volume commitments.

Sincere thanks go to all attending members for what proved once again to be a productive event.

The next EU conference is scheduled for June and will be held in Denmark and hosted by Blue Water Shipping.
