Key Responsibilities:
- CPC Operator’s license
- Ensuring vehicles are properly maintained, if required arrange repairs and routine maintenance.
- Ensure drivers comply with the drivers’ hours and working time rules.
- Ensure that drivers are properly trained and competent to operate all relevant vehicles and equipment.
- Managing recruitment, training and appraising of employees.
- Managing of costs within budget.
- Ensure that all required records are made properly and kept for the required period.
- Load and unload outgoing and incoming pallets.
- Ensure all machinery; mechanical handling equipment and safety devices are used in accordance with company procedure and Health & Safety training.
- Ensure all safety checks on forklift trucks and batteries are carried out, with any defects reported to the warehouse supervisor.
