EV Cargo Technology General Manager, Lesley Wood has gone on a 40,000 km holiday trip with her workmates and their families – virtually.

Lesley devised an astonishing 40,597 km route taking in all the countries staff at EV Cargo Technology had been planning to visit in 2020, which had to be cancelled due to the pandemic.

Now, through walking, running, cycling and swimming, they are all working together to cover the distance.

Lesley said: “Once everyone told us where they had planned to visit in 2020 we had a route that started in the UK and finished in Peru.

“Along the way we will be travelling through Europe, Africa, Asia, North America and South America – a total of 40,597kms!

“The challenge is taking place throughout March and April and to help us clock up as many kilometres as possible, we have allowed all forms of human power, and have roped in family members too!

“At the moment, we have just left Kenya and are currently crossing the Indian Ocean on our way to the Andaman and Nicobar Islands.

“After a winter in lockdown, we wanted to encourage EV Cargo Technology employees to get some exercise – either indoors or outdoors – in order to give a much-need boost to both our physical and mental wellbeing.”
