Many congratulations to Karen Leppard, national quality manager for EV Cargo Logistics, who is on track towards a hard-earned Masters degree.

Having just completed her second year at Aston University in Birmingham, Karen is about to start her dissertation towards an MSc in Supply Chain Leadership and Management.

“Undertaking this degree course has fundamentally impacted on the way I think and approach tasks by broadening my knowledge of the fields relevant to my role,” she says.
“To anyone considering a degree, I thoroughly recommend you go for it. You’ll need to be prepared to put the work in, but the benefits in terms of knowledge, skills and personal development make it completely worthwhile.”

Karen’s dissertation deadline is 31 August. Following that she will have an End Point Assessment in October, where she will need to defend her knowledge, skills and behaviours.

She says, “I’ve been with EVC Logistics for eight years, and during that time I have been given opportunity to utilise my skills and explore opportunities to impact on results.

“My colleagues and stakeholders have become friends – and it feels like we are part of something substantial. Being able to say we work for the largest privately owned logistics company in the UK makes me proud.”
