Sustained growth and record volumes have seen EV Cargo company Palletforce add four more members to its growing network of leading hauliers.

Lambert Brothers and Farsley Transport will further strengthen Palletforce’s coverage in Hampshire and West Yorkshire respectively, providing additional capacity for continued growth and delivering enhanced customer service.

Additionally, REL Storage & Logistics will handle PE postcodes between Peterborough and Cambridge while Speed Welshpool takes on the LD region in mid-Wales.

Founded in 1960 and based in Eastleigh since 1972, Lambert Brothers will cover postcodes in Southampton and Salisbury. With an 80-strong fleet and more than 87,000 sq ft of warehousing, the firm – formerly a long-standing member of Palletline – also becomes the seventh member of the Kinaxia Logistics group to join the sector-leading Palletforce network.

“We moved to Palletforce to help develop opportunities and grow long-term network volumes in our area,” explains managing director Eddie Elmslie.

“The single Palletforce hub model is attractive as it will enable us to drive efficiencies and reduce trunking miles. So far we have had fantastic and proactive support from Palletforce and experienced a real willingness from the member support team to help us develop business across our customer base.”

Based in Leeds, Farsley Transport began as a one-man, one-van distribution operation in 1994. Managing director Neil Chappelow now oversees a fleet of 65 vehicles and a staff of nearly 100. The company has been a temporary member of Palletforce since August 2019 and has been brought in as a full member to provide coverage of LS postcodes.

Neil says: “We have developed an excellent working relationship with the Palletforce team, and in terms of investment, technology and infrastructure the network is second to none. We look forward to growing our existing business by taking advantage of the opportunities Palletforce provides.”

Adam Leonard, Palletforce member relations director, said: “We continue to reap the rewards of ongoing investment across the network and sustained growth has allowed Palletforce to add four quality members. They each have a proven track record of service and operational excellence and we are delighted to have them on board.

“As volumes continue to grow, they will enhance our domestic service even further, providing sector-leading coverage and create additional capacity for stable network growth.”
