EV Cargo Logistics put in an amazing effort at Christmas, delivering tens of millions of items to retail stores, supermarkets and distribution centres throughout the country.

Staff worked around the clock to keep shelves stocked, despite the increased logistical problems of the COVID-19 restrictions.

The hard work paid off, with EV Cargo Logistics recording some of its highest-ever volumes and ensuring shelves remained stocked with products from some of the world’s leading brands.

The company delivered over 16 million cans of Coca-Cola, 17 million bottles of wine, 10.4 million bottles and cans of Fever Tree mixers and 12 million bottles of beer, lager and cider for ABI – the world’s biggest brewer.

With 14,000 Christmas puddings going out to Marks & Spencer, EV Cargo Logistics ensured thousands of Christmas dinners ended on a high note too.

And there were tens of thousands of happy children this Christmas with 138,000 cases of Mattel toys transported. On top of that, nearly 3 million kilos of flour and 80,000 items for Dyson were delivered.

EV Cargo Logistics managing director Zac Brown said: “It was an astonishing effort from all of our staff. Christmas is our busiest time of the year this year we also faced new consumer buying patterns, challenges from COVID restrictions and Brexit preparations.

“I’d like to thank all our colleagues for their hard work and determination. I am always very proud when I see how everyone’s efforts come together in such an impressive, smooth manner at the busiest time of the year.”
