EV Cargo Solutions, a leading provider of managed transport and contract logistics services with deep expertise across BWS, home, beverage, paper & packaging, retail and industrial sectors, has appointed Martin Davies to the newly created role of Operations Director as the company builds on excellent progress in implementing its strategic transformation.
In his new role, Davies will oversee all key operational activities, including managed transportation, fleet performance, carrier management, contract logistics as well as health and safety. Davies joins during a period of strong momentum for EV Cargo Solutions, which is successfully executing its multi-year transformation strategy with demonstrated results.
EV Cargo Solutions has successfully differentiated itself through its highly effective hybrid resource model, which strategically combines the reliable fixed capacity and specialist capability of its optimised fleet with the enhanced flexibility and efficiency of an expanded base of carefully selected third-party carrier partners.
The company continues to focus on excellent customer service and industry solutions delivered through its approximately 1,000 person-strong workforce, supported by a comprehensive operational infrastructure including 200 fleet units, 850 trailers and approximately 1 million square feet of warehouse space across six strategic locations with 120,000 racked locations.

Davies brings extensive experience as the former Commercial and Operations Director of Fowler Welch, where he successfully helped the company achieve consistent year-on-year EBITDA growth over 10 years, seamlessly integrated multiple acquisitions into the business and secured significant new contracts through innovative data-led customer proposals.
His proven track record also includes senior roles as Director of Operations, Midlands East for Bidvest 3663, and National Operations Director for Palmer and Harvey, bringing deep sector knowledge and understanding that will directly benefit service delivery, enhance customer partnerships and drive volume growth.
